Superstar Pens Novel
Superstar memoirs are a dime a dozen these days, but supermodel-turned-TV personality Tyra Banks is transforming a somewhat rare organization: celebs who have become novelists.
Banks, 36, has now made a three-book contract with Random House. The series of stories, named “Modelland,” will be designed for young adults. The series will present models with special features, though Banks has said several characters might be structured on folks she is familiar with.
Although it is rare for celebs to write works of this kind, it is far from unheard of. One little-known superstar novelist is Bill O’Reilly — that’s right, the guy from Fox News — who in 1998 wrote a killer novel known as “Those Who Trespass.” Also musician Jimmy Buffett, who in 2004 published an American westerner named, “A Salty Piece of Land.”
Meanwhile get ready to read a spicy ninal from Tyra Banks.
